Hotel Policies


ADA Policy
ADA compliant guest rooms are available and should be reserved in advance. For more information, please contact the hotel directly.

Age Requirement Policy
Guests must be at least 21 years of age to check in at the Carriage House Inn. 

Amenities In Room
Our guest rooms include modern amenities such as hair dryer, coffee maker, cable TV, complimentary Wi-Fi & high speed internet, and private bathroom. If you are in need of a microwave or fridge in your guest room, please contact the hotel directly to book reservations in one of our suites with a kitchen or in the Main Inn or Laurens Guesthouse where there is a convenience area that offers a shared mini-fridge and microwave available to guests. 

Check-In and Check-Out Policy
Carriage House Inn’s guaranteed check-in time is at 3:00PM (EST) and check-out time is at 11:00AM (EST). Requests for early check-in and late check-out will be based on hotel availability on day of arrival and departure. Carriage House Inn will happily store guest luggage complimentary in a secure location until the guest room is ready for check-in. If you plan to arrive earlier than the hotel’s check-in time and would like to guarantee that you would be able to check into your room upon arrival, we would advise you to reserve the night prior to the date of arrival.
Exceeding check out times without approval from the front desk in advance will result in extra charges applied to your hotel bill. An additional fee will be applicable for late check outs after 3:00PM. If a guest checks out after 5:00PM, they will be charged for an additional night stay.
 

Front Desk Hours of Operation
Our front desk is staffed daily from 8:00am-8:00pm. Guest services can be contacted 24/7 however some services may be limited after hours. If you are arriving outside of front desk hours, please contact the hotel to arrange for late check-in.   

Cancellation Policy
All confirmed reservations not canceled at least 48 hours prior to arrival (defined as 3:00 pm local time 48 hours prior) will be the responsibility of the traveler. Cancellations received within the 48-hour period will incur the full stay and tax charge to be assessed to the credit card on file. Please provide notice of cancellation before 3:00 pm the 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation penalty. In the event of a "no show", the guest will be charged 1 night stay and the rest of the reservation will be canceled. It is the guest responsibility to contact the hotel before 3:00pm on the day of arrival if they need to update their arrival date. 


Early Departure Policy
All departures prior to date agreed at check-in may be subject to a one night’s room and tax early departure charge. Management approval is required to waive this policy and is based on hotel availability.  It is the guest responsibility to contact the hotel if they need to update their departure date. 


Payment Policy
Credit and debit cards will be charged in full at check-in for the amount of your stay. If a guest is paying cash, a deposit of equal to the room will also be collected at check-in and a credit card must be on file for incidentals.
For payment arrangements to a third party credit card that will not be present at check-in, please contact the Carriage House Inn to request a Credit Card Authorization Form. We require a completed Authorization Form with a legible copy of the card (front and back) and a copy of the cardholder’s driver’s license to be submitted to the hotel 48 hours prior to arrival.
Requests to set up direct billing must be submitted 2 weeks prior to guest arrival for management approval.


Occupancy Policy
An extra person charge of $15 per night plus taxes will apply for any reservation exceeding maximum occupancy. Please see the following for the maximum occupancy of each room:
 Deluxe Queen Room: 2 persons per room (Deluxe Queen has 1 queen size bed.)
 Premium Double Room: 4 person per room (Premium Double has 2 double beds.)
 Premium King/King Jacuzzi Room: 2 persons per room (Premium King/Jacuzzi has 1 king bed.)
 Premium and Junior Queen/King Suite Room: 4 persons per room (Premium Suite has 1 queen or king bed with sleeper sofa or Murphy pullout bed – varies from room to room.)


Fire Safety Policy
Carriage House Inn is fully equipped with smoke detectors, sprinkler systems and emergency evacuation plans in all rooms and public areas.

Guarantee Policy
A valid credit card guarantee or pre-payment of full stay is required at time of booking to confirm a guaranteed reservation. We will not charge your credit card prior to your arrival unless requested by the guest or in the event of a "No Show" reservation. 


Package Handling Policy
Carriage House Inn charges $15.00 per package to ship items left behind by guests. We ship through USPS with ground shipping on the 15th and 30th of each month. Additional charges may apply if package weighs more than 25lbs. If guest prefers a different shipping method, we will happily package the item for pick up at the hotel.
If you need to send packages prior to arrival or receive packages while in house, please inquire at the front desk of the best time for packages to be delivered to the hotel. All material should be addressed as follows:

Smoking Policy
All Carriage House Inn guest rooms and suites are non-smoking. A minimum $250 cleaning fee will be charged to any guest who violates the smoking policy.


Wait List Policy
Carriage House Inn does offer the option of a wait list if fully committed for dates requested by inquiring guests. The hotel does not guarantee specific room types or bed accommodations for wait list reservation requests.


Lost and Found Policy
Carriage House Inn is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items. The Front Office offers a safety deposit box for valued items. All reports of lost items are recorded and will be returned to the guests if found. If the item is found after the guest has departed, please see our Package Handling Policy for shipping information. Any items in Lost & Found which are not claimed after thirty (30) days will be donated to a local charity or discarded.


General Policy
Carriage House Inn reserves the right to refuse service or accommodation in the hotel to anyone who: while on the premises of the hotel acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner, destroy or threatens to destroy hotel property, or causes or threatens to cause a public disturbance; or refuses or is unable to pay for the accommodations. Carriage House Inn may limit the number of persons who may occupy a guest room in the hotel and will only allow registered guests to use its facilities. A person who negligently or intentionally causes damages to the hotel or any furniture/furnishings within the hotel, shall be liable for damages sustained by the hotel staff, including the hotel’s loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent or lease rooms while the damage is being repaired.


Pet Policy
Carriage House Inn offers specified guest suites and rooms where well-behaved and quiet dogs are allowed. There is a cleaning fee of $75 that will be added to your stay if your pet is joining you. We only allow a maximum of two dogs per guest room. Pets should be crated if left unattended in the guest room. If dogs bark & disrupt other hotel guests, the hotel reserves the right to ask you to leave. The hotel reserves the right to charge additional fees for any damages or excessive cleaning caused by the pet during the stay. We do not allow cats in any guest rooms. Upon arrival, the guest room will be inspected by a staff member and inspected again before guest departure to determine if additional fees should apply for any damages or extra cleaning. We apologize if this policy seems rigid however we have had thousands of dollars of damage from just two dogs during a single stay so we must remain strict in this policy. If evidence of a pet is found in any guest room that is not a pet approved room, the guest will be charged a minimum $250 cleaning fee at management's discretion. We recommend that you book early if traveling with a pet as we are limited to the rooms we allow pets. 

Housekeeping Service
We provide housekeeping service daily between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm. Carriage House Inn policy is to change bed sheets based on your specific length of stay. More information can be provided upon check-in. Extended stays over 14 days will receive service once a week.
